Crazy Cousinz were the first act to be booked for SIGNAL. Without a doubt the biggest artist/producer duo in the Funky scene, they blessed the stage with a performance of their first hit, 'Bongo Jam', along with vocalists Calista & Bongo Man. They have gone on to release the first ever major label UK Funky compilation CD, The Sound of UK Funky, creating many more anthems along the way, as well as remixing everyone from Estelle & Jazmine Sullivan to Cheryl Cole & Beverley Knight.

As one of the producers behind Roll Deep, DJ Target is UK underground royalty. As part of the crew who shaped the sound of Grime & UK black music, it was an honour to have him grace the decks as the first guest DJ at SIGNAL. He's one of the most popular DJ's on BBC 1Xtra (one of the biggest radio stations in the world), and this has been reflected by them giving him a prime-time slot, lock into Target's show, every Friday night from 1900-2200.

Natalie's funky hit 'Sexy Sexy (All Up On Me)' has gone on to do big things over the past couple of months, and she's now been signed to a major label. We spotted her way before that though, and she performed her debut track way back in April 2009 at SIGNAL 1! Natalie and her dancers gave us a wicked performance and rendition of the song, look out for a follow-up single this year.

Undoubtedly the track of summer 2009 amongst funky lovers, 'Make It Funky For Me' was an anthem across the UK and abroad. Attacca Pesante & Shea Soul came down to SIGNAL 2 in July '09 and tore it down with a PA of this monster track! It was another tune that went on to be signed & released by a major label (including cover art by SIGNAL's own Lil' Dave), but expect much more of the same from them this year.

As one of our two guest DJ's at SIGNAL 2, Twin B & his brother smashed a set, dropping everything from Funky to Old School Garage & Grime. Twin B holds down the weekends on 1Xtra, hosting his show every Saturday & Sunday from 1000-1300.

The world's biggest grime DJ, Kiss 100's Logan Sama, was our 2nd guest DJ at July's SIGNAL. What followed was 60 minutes of Grime classics, bangers, dubplates and exclusives that had the SIGNAL crowd going insane. The gun finger count was very high that night! Catch Logan on Kiss, every Monday night/Tuesday Morning from 12–1AM.

As well PAs from some of the UKs biggest acts SIGNAL also represents for local Cambridge talent & in singer Shean Williams they don't come much better. At SIGNAL 2 he performed his first funky track "Show Me" to a great response.

Meleka took to the stage at SIGNAL 3 and performed her Crazy Cousinz produced track 'Go!', arguably the biggest female anthem in UK Funky history! She smashed it, the crowd loved it!

Our guest DJ at SIGNAL 3 was 1Xtra's Cameo, and he brought Mr M along for the ride with him. Mr M jumped on stage for an impromptu PA of his call-and-response banger 'Dash Down', and then Cameo proceeded to rip the CDJ 1000's apart, dropping big tune after big tune, from Funky to Grime to Bassline. Don't miss Cameo's weekly 1Xtra show, 2200-0000 every Tuesday night.

For our Xmas Eve special, we had Princess Nyah come down (in full Miss Santa outfit!!) to perform her hits 'Frontline' & 'Big Boys'. The crowd knew every word to the songs! Nyah's E.P. 'Diary Of A Princess' is out now to purchase on iTunes!

The producers behind Princess Nyah, Ill Blu, gave us a big boy DJ set to compliment her live PA! Full of exclusive remixes and dubs, they helped make SIGNAL 4 the biggest yet! Ill Blu have remixed huge artists, such as Shystie, Young Nate, MJ Cole, Donae'O & international superstar Shontelle! Look out for more big moves from them in '10.

His roots lie within UK Garage & Grime (he was the founder of N.A.S.T.Y. Crew) but it is pioneering the UK Funky sound on a national and global level that he is most known for. Quite simply and without question he is the world's number 1 Funky DJ!
For anyone remotely interested in the sound of funky, his Rinse FM show on a Wednesday evening (7–9pm) is a must listen.

Arguably the funky scenes number 1 party host. Versatile first came to prominence with his verse on the Katy B hit track 'Tell Me'. Since then he gone on to have numerous party sing along anthems alongside the Crazy Cousinz collective such as 'Funky Anthem' and 'It's That Funky'.

Ranking became known in the late 90's & early Noughties as the Dreem Teem's MC. Back in the heyday for UKG, the Dreem Teem were the top DJ's in the scene, including a weekly slot on Radio 1, and Ranking was their voice. He's hosted at every major event going. Now he can be found on Rinse FM with the worlds top Funky DJ, Marcus Nasty, and at most decent raves around the country! In his own words "mash up any dance and any party". He's not wrong!

The biggest female artist to come out of the UK Garage scene, Ms Dynamite started in the underground and quickly rose to fame internationally. After her first hit, the Sticky-produced "Booo!", she released her debut album "A Little Deeper", and went on to win the coveted Mercury Music Prize, two Brit awards and three MOBO's! She made a return last year and had one of the biggest club tunes of the year, another Sticky produced track "Bad Gyal" and now has done it all over again with DJ Zinc - "Wile Out" is tearing up clubs and radio all over the country!
